This piece took forever. My teacher said it's too dark so I lightened it up. Then he said it's too dark. Back and forth until the day he grabbed the brush and he said - it's finished. Then I said it's not yet done. The best lesson I learned with this piece...how to let go of a painting and declare it to be finished.
