Lake Huron

It's been a very very long  time and its good to pick up the brush once again. We visited Goderich, Bayfiend, Kincardine, Invehuron in Ontario and somehow we picked up some little pebbles by the shoreline. Got home and realized I can add them to this painting. I wasn't quite sure I can paint again but I suppose ... I still can.

Fall 2010 - well most of them

Cris Roxas - an artist under the mentorship of Vlad Ribatchok has been creating impressionistic acrylic art since the fall of 2008. The journey started when she needed to take a rest from the other activities. I felt I needed a break as I do realize I do have too much energy for myself I needed a new challenge. With that, I wondered if I can actually learn how to paint simply because I wasn't even good with pictionary. With much encouragement from a great mentor....the journey begun. He'd always say - "Be brave"; "Don't worry if you make a mistake - you can always fix it"; "Don't be scared".

Learned lots on this one:  Silhoette; Sky; Angles, etc. the hardest piece ever.

This one is a reject.  The first morning I woke up I thought it didn't look anything like how it's supposed to look...it looked like a red Chinese Pork Bun:(

Certainly a favorite.  Sienna Red.  Thanks Mark/Gwen for taking this pix when we in Tuscany.
My first Tuscany painting.  Color of terracota is so rich it makes this piece simply stand out

Tiburon

This piece taught me much about how to paint water, reflection and distance.

Tatang's clay jar

This clay jar is still with the family.  Originally owned by my great grandfather, this jar kept water cool from steaming summer.
